The Monitor plug-in has a presentation dialog only - Figure 7.  

It shows information from all screens that exist in its network. All its capabilities are controlled by the buttons and dialog boxes on the left panel.

The information displayed in the Monitor conform the formatting displayed on top of the image.


  • Date Time - the exact time this information arrived into Monitor.  Consistently formatted and with a fixed size and position.
  •      NOTE - this is the arrival time and not the time the information was generated
  • Level - Variable size field accommodating the key word representing the level the information was produced at. Could be one of:
    • Debug - debugging information referring to status and /or processing in display
    • Info - information the user may be interested in
    • Error - an error has occurred - the screen can recover from this
    • Fatal - a fatal error has occurred - the screen can not recover from it. Always followed by system crash and reboot


  • IPAddress - the Internet IP address of the Display that produced this log.
  • Component - this is the internal name of the component that produces the log. Useful information for diagnosing issues when and if any. In the example "Interop" and "RssView".
  • Information/Error/Reporting - data logged by the screen containing information, error or some kind of report relating to the status of the screen.
